Charles Rendell, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Rendell is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience in the UK commercial finance and technology sector. He joined the predecessor to ARC (Argonaut), as Finance Director & Company Secretary and lead the company through private fund raising rounds and acquisitions leading up to the Initial Public Offering in 2000.  As Finance Director Charles led and managed all finance and administrative functions for the company, and continued to work with these after the appointment of a public company Chief Finance Officer in 2000. In this role Charles has been responsible for all company governance and compliance rel ated financial work, transcending European, American and Asian theatres. Additionally he has lead managed all financial functions and responsibilities and has over the course of his career been responsible for HR and administration. Since joining ARC Charles has been responsible for the financial aspects of seven acquisitions which included employees or entities in the UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Japan, Korea, Russia, Canada and the United States. Charles has Bsc(Econ) from Hull University, U.K.

   
Sean Redmond, Vice President ofWorldwide Field Operations

Sean Redmond, Vice President, Marketing and Worldwide Field Operations

Sean joined ARC from Cadence Design Systems where as Vice President of EMEA he delivered significant growth through his focus on executive relationships, innovating new value based sales processes and leading cross-functional strategic teams to extract adjacency value from Cadence’s core EDA, service and IP businesses. Prior to Cadence, Sean was VP & GM of Veristy’s European business - which he took from a standing start in Europe to over 140 company sites deploying volume licenses of SystemVerification solutions and Verification IP. Verisity achieved “Best Performing IPO of the Year” in 2001 and was sold to Cadence for $320M in 2005. His experience approaches 25 years in the Semiconductor and System OEM industries, and includes starting his own EDA & IP company. In his early career, Sean lead the design team in Philips Semiconductors that captured more than 80 percent market share in the NICAM digital stereo sound market for televisions. He then went on to VLSI technology where he designed the first embedded ASIC baseband for Ericsson’s handset business.

   
Michael Franzi, Vice President of Worldwide Marketing

Michael Franzi, Vice President and General Manager, OEM Solutions

Michael has over twenty five years of experience in the electronics industry. Most recently he headed the IP licensing and worldwide customer support functions for SRS Labs, where he developed strategies for the automotive, pro-audio, gaming, cell phone, mobile devices, home entertainment products and personal computers market segments. At THX and KDDI, Michael directed the worldwide marketing, sales and professional services functions as CMO and VP of Sales. Earlier in his career, Michael was VP of worldwide marketing and sales at Planar Systems, a provider of high performance video systems, with annual revenues of $275 million. He also held an executive sales position at Conexant Systems. He started his career at Tektronix, a global leader in test systems. Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Swanson School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh and has attended multiple executive management programs atWharton and USC.

   

Dr. Eugene Metlitski, Vice President, Advanced Software Group

Dr. Metlitski has more than 25 years experience in scientific research and project leadership in the areas of digital signal processing. He was a founder and CTO of Alarity Corporation and led Alarity highly skilled team that have successfully created Alarity’s leading multimedia software. Previously Eugene worked in management and executive positions at various hi-tech companies in St. Petersburg, Russia and held full professor position in St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University. He joined ARC in 2007 and was continuously involved in management of advanced software development. Dr. Metlitski is an author of the more than 50 publications including 2 books and holds 9 patents in the field of computer science. He received a PhD and Doctor of Science in computer science in St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University.

   

Amjad Qureshi, Vice President, Hardware Engineering

Amjad Qureshi has over twenty years of experience in System On a Chip (SoC) design and verification.  Most recently he served as Vice President of Technology at Adaptive Chips focusing on ARC based Audio and Security solutions, globally leading design and verification teams. Prior to that Amjad was Engineering Director at Cadence Design Systems leading the architecture and implementation of SoC Functional Verification and Low Power design kits.  Amjad served as Engineering Director at Cradle Technologies, Video Security Surveillance start-up, for over five years heading the design team and successfully Taping Out three large silicons in multi-processor based video solutions.  Earlier in his career, Amjad served as Sr. Manager at Sand Micro Electronics and Samsung Semiconductors. At Samsung Amjad led the development of the first Multimedia Service Processor and was awarded 13 US patents. He also held several design positions at IBM and DELL where he received outstanding achievement and first patent awards.  Amjad has nineteen US patents and a BSEE from Case Western Reserve University.

   

Bob Gable, Senior Director, Operating Systems and Integration

Mr. Gable has 20+ years of software management and development experience. He has focused on leading teams to build platform products targeted for vertical domains like avionics, enterprise, embedded, telecommunications, networking, and multimedia. This includes development tools, system software, and reference applications. He also has a strong background in software engineering methodologies and infrastructure. Most recently, he was VP of Engineering for Teja, an Intel and Mayfield funded start-up, that made high-performance, multi-core chips easy to program. Teja was acquired by ARC International in 2007. Prior to that, he was VP of Engineering at Virtio, a spin-out from National Semiconductor since acquired by Synopsis, that built virtual platforms for embedded software development. At Integrated Systems (that then merged with Wind River), he led the development of an IDE for building pSOS+ embedded applications. At Rational for 7 years, Mr. Gable managed Rational Rose development and the Ada runtime group, and also held positions as program manager and marketing engineer. He started as a compiler and tools developer at Lear Siegler in Michigan. Mr. Gable received a B.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University.

   
Tom Huppuch, Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Tom Huppuch, Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Partnerships and IP

Tom has served as General Counsel for three leading technology companies and is a successful advocate for protecting IP assets worldwide. Prior to ARC, Tom was VP and General Counsel of Virata Corporation during its ascent as the leading fabless semiconductor company for DSL. Tom managed legal services through Virata's successful IPO and secondary offerings, four strategic acquisitions and the dramatic increase in its licensing and patent programs. At DEC Tom was Senior Counsel for Worldwide Semiconductor Business Operations, responsible for the acquisition and licensing of core semiconductor related IP. Tom is admitted in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York. He is a member of the American Corporate Counsel Association.
